Lavender Honey Cream Cheese Frosting
The delicate floral taste of lavender honey really shines in this simple, delicious frosting. Top your favorite cake or cupcakes (I think vanilla and lemon complement the taste best) and for the finishing touch, you might sprinkle a few culinary lavender flowers atop the frosting, drizzle a bit of the honey, or add lavender candy as decoration.
- 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
2 tablespoons butter at room temperature
1/4 cup lavender honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, lavender honey, and vanilla with mixer on medium until light and fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup of the powdered sugar, beating well. Gradually beat in remaining powdered sugar to reach spreading consistency. Spread or pipe on your cake or cupcakes, garnish if desired, and enjoy!
